An important aspect of marriage preparation for engaged couples is listening to the experience of married couples. In this class, a married couple from the St. Thomas Aquinas community will lead an informal session where they will: a) discuss their families of origin and how their upbringing shaped their attitudes and approaches towards communication, conflict, finances, parenthood, etc,; b) discuss issues they have encountered in their marriage and how they have managed those issues; c) lead activities structured to prompt self-reflection; and d) respond to specific questions from engaged couples.
